Dr. Joel Ingersoll
I earned an Associate of Science degree, a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, passing all national board certification tests along the way. I graduated from a four year Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2007 with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I practiced in Oregon for awhile then moved back home to Alaska in 2011.
I have a post graduate certificate in Functional Medicine and I continually study the most current literature, research and information regarding all aspects of health, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise and general wellness. Research shows these are the main factors affecting chronic degenerative diseases which are epidemic in our society and which rob us of our quality of life.
Functional Medicine is focuses on body systems, such as the gastrointestinal, adrenal/hormonal (endocrine), and detoxification, as well as their subsystems. It provides a systematic approach to discover the root underlying causes creating disease or dysfunction and focuses on how to correct those issues holistically. Functional Medicine has been gaining credence and justification in recent years. The world famous Cleveland Clinic has even opened a Functional Medicine wing that now has a 6 month waiting period.

My second goal is to help clients achieve lasting wellness by guiding them in nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle options.
Enough about me, now I want to learn about you! Contact us today to make an appointment for your consultation.”
